Local Wine Week takes place the 3rd week of June each year – this year running the week of June 19th – giving you the perfect opportunity to experience all that our EPIC Wineries have to offer. It is your excuse (but, really, who needs one?) to taste the bold reds & crisp whites of our Essex Pelee Island Coast (EPIC) Wineries – part of the Lake Erie North Shore wine region. THE 3 G’S OF MUSCEDERE VINEYARDS: GOATS, GELATO & GRIGIO!
For a unique wine-tasting experience head to Muscedere Vineyards and sip on a crisp glass of Sparkling Rose while frolicking with a couple of the cutest vineyard goats you’ve ever met: Savvy and Marla are just as excited to meet you too! Don’t forget the delicious wood-fired pizza and a scoop of gelato for dessert the pick up a bottle of G.O.A.T Vidal Blanc on your way home!
OXLEY ESTATE WINERY: HOWL AT THE MOON DINNER
We’re pretty sure werewolves don’t drink wine so you’ll be safe and sound at the Oxley Estate Winery Howl At The Moon Dinners that take place on the night of the full moon each month. Enjoy delicious food, wine, beverages and live music under the light of the moon! Reservations do book up quickly so be sure to plan in advance.
PELEE ISLAND WINERY: SUMMER SERIES & ISLAND TIME
The Kingsville location of Pelee Island Winery is serving up Summer Sundays On The Patio through to September 17th. Enjoy live music, wood fired pizza, wine and beer for a relaxing Sunday afternoon. For a truly unique experience plan a trip to the Pelee Island Winery Pavilion on Pelee Island at the southernmost point of Canada. Explore some of the rarest natural habitat in Canada, the historic remains of Canada’s first commercial winery and the amazing views offered of Lake Erie. SPRUCEWOOD SHORES ESTATE WINERY: THE BEACH LIFE
Talk about unique– Sprucewood Shores Estate Winery is Ontario’s only beachfront winery! Enjoy a flight or wine by the glass and picnic and grazing lunches are also available. Spend a gorgeous summer day combing the sand for beach glass or enjoy the sounds of the waves from the newly built pavilion.
Sundays are made for sippin’ mimosas! Enjoy a leisurely Sunday on VIN Winery’s patio with delicious bites from Smashed Apple. Open Sundays from 12pm to 6pm and Friday & Saturday evenings from 5pm to 11pm, this summer is made for good wine and great company!
