No experience is needed to create a one-of-a-kind ceramic keepsake at Art Splash (5844 Malden Road).
At Art Splash you can choose from a large selection of ceramic pieces – dinner plates, mugs, picture frames, vases, coin banks, and more. Guests (adults and children) paint their art pieces using toxic-free paint and then the staff glaze and fire it, making it food-safe. Pieces are usually available to take home within a week.
“The pieces are for all ages. You will find something for adults, something for kids – boys and girls,” said Art Splash owner Dalia Tawadrous.
Tawadrous was inspired to open Art Splash because of her love of the arts, working with children, and helping others.
“I studied Fine Arts for five years and worked as an interior designer for nine years and I love art,” said Tawadrous.
Creating art together is fun for the family, or you can bring in your little one to make a special piece as a gift for mother’s or father’s day, or other special events. Birthday party packages are available for children, as well as Ladies’ Night parties, and Stress Relief Parties where participants can partake in the therapeutic benefits of creating art. Teachers looking for a fun end-of-the-year field trip can book a trip for their class where the kids get to learn a new artistic skill and take home their work of art. Fundraising opportunities are also available.
All of the ceramic pieces come ready-to-paint.
“Now it’s different because the pieces have already been cleaned and fired once. The hard job has already been done,” said Tawadrous.
Classes are also offered in design and painting, for both children and adults, beginners or experienced artist. Other activities, such as Paint and Dance Mix and Movie Nights are offered at Art Splash. A calendar of events can be found on their Facebook page.
