Nestled just inside Pillette Village, you’ll find a quaint little unassuming store called Rhyan’s Mess. Don’t let the name fool you, inside this women’s consignment store you’ll find some of the most gorgeous brands featured in a boutique-style setting. From Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Lululemon, Coach and everything in between, it’s a one-stop beautiful shop for over 80 designer brands.

Owner Mackenzie Murphy saw the need for a specialty consignment shop catering to women in the 30-55 year old range. Murphy has successfully owned and operated Sweet Peas consignment store for children on Walker Road for five and a half years. After hearing from customers for years that she should open a women’s store, Murphy saw an opportunity in the fall of 2012 and jumped at the chance to start another local business in a well-established area of Windsor.

Stunning designer-label clothes that were once driven all the way to Toronto to consign, are now being offered right here in Windsor at Rhyan’s Mess on Wyandotte Street. “I’d like to keep it quality over quantity” Murphy said of her desire to keep the shop quaint and boutique-like. Her dreams for the space include offering a wider range of sizes for all women, and staying fully stocked on high-end designer jeans.

Inside you’ll find everything from dresses to jeans, blouses to belts, sunglasses and purses, anything to fill a wardrobe. Are you a shoe-lover? You’ll surely find something to light your eyes up at Rhyan’s Mess. Every piece brought in to consign is researched by Mackenzie and her team, and priced at 70% off retail prices. Consigners earn 40% of the selling price and the consigning period is 3 months long.

Every day brings something new to the shop, everything a unique, high-quality brand name. Murphy has been encouraged by the reception so far, pointing out that local women are travelling to Paris, to Los Angeles, all over the world and bringing back their finds to share with fellow Windsorites once their use is over. There is an abundant Clearance section and the discount consignment prices let you own a piece of fashion history without breaking the bank.

Rhyan’s Mess is located at 5420 Wyandotte Street East. It’s open Tuesdays through Fridays from 10am to 5:30pm, and again on Saturdays from 10am to 5pm.  Stop in and see what kind of Mess you can get yourself looking beautiful in!
