There will be no snow day for local children hoping for an extended holiday.
Greater Essex County District School Board spokesperson Scott Scantlebury says all schools are open but buses (student transportation) has been cancelled. Scantlebury advises students to dress warmly due to the windchill warning.
Meanwhile Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board spokesperson Sherrilynn Colley-Vegh says all Catholic schools are open. Bus transporation is also cancelled for Catholic schools.
Lyne Cossette, agente de communication for Conseil scolaire catholique Providence says all Windsor-Essex schools are open.
There’s no word yet on closures from Conseil Scolaire Viamonde.
