A Christmas Eve blaze has been extinguished in South Windsor.
Firefighters were called to a house in the 3500 block of Dominion just before 10pm.
When they arrived, crews found heavy smoke pouring from all sides of the house.
The fire was knocked down within minutes and was reported to have been contained to the basement.
Everyone made it out of the house safely.
Dominion is expected to be closed between Roselawn and Norfolk for a few hours.
Fire investigators say candles left unattended were the cause of the blaze.
Damage is estimated at $50,000.
