The search is on for a beloved South Walkerville cat who went missing on September 4th near Windsor Regional Hospital’s Met Campus.
Otis is a male cat with long fur and a tail like a plume. His belly, legs, and face are white, and his back and tail are a soft orange. He’s around two to three years old.
Otis is best described by his owners as an uber-friendly cat without fear of people or buildings.
Those who know him say that he would likely walk in any door that was opened for him. His owners tried to keep him inside, but he was like Houdini and has in the past escaped to roam about the hospital, making friends with many hospital employees.
He learned how to enter the hospital through the revolving doors, and had to be escorted back outside. He was often found charming staff who were eating lunch on the picnic tables on the grounds and earned himself bits of everyone’s lunch. Not that he was starving, by any means!
The owners say Otis has several households on Kildare and Alsace where he can stop in for treats or food, and more important to him, love and pampering.
He was wearing a collar when lost, containing a tag with his name and his owner’s phone number on it. He also has an identity microchip.
