Sunday afternoon, groundskeepers, maintenance staff and food service staff at the University of Windsor, members of CUPE Local 1001 ratified a three-year collective agreement.
“We are pleased to have successfully concluded bargaining with the University administration,” said David Montgomery, President of CUPE 1001.
The three-year agreement contains improvements to benefits, job security and a wage increase of one per cent in each year of the contract.
Meanwhile, the strike by members of CUPE 1393, which represents skilled trades and professional staff at the University, is entering its third week with no new talks scheduled.
On Monday, members of Unifor Local 195 and 2458at the University of Windsor voted overwhelmingly in support of new collective bargaining agreements.
