Utility Boxes Get Transformed Into Paintings

As part of the fun of this weekend’s Essex Fun Fest, selected artists have been busy painting murals on up to eight Bell Canada outdoor utility boxes in the Essex Centre area.
Work began on Friday when the selected artists used metal primer to prepare the surface.
Painting began Saturday morning, and once the murals are finished, they will be covered in a clear topcoat to help protect them from the elements.
Essex Centre currently has 13 murals in its outdoor mural gallery.
