Remington Park Library
The Remington Park Branch of the Windsor Public Library will mark its 30th Anniversary on Saturday.
Named for the area it serves, the Remington Park Branch of the Windsor Public Library opened in 1983 with the support of a Neighbourhood Improvement Grant.
The library will commemorate the anniversary on Saturday with a celebration featuring an interactive program by The Stilt Guys, memories of the past three decades, and refreshments.
The Remington Park Library’s collection comprises items in more than 20 languages, including English as a Second Language (ESL) resources as well as a comprehensive program of activities for early years and school-aged children, many magazines, videos, DVDs and CDs, daily newspapers from around the world, large print and talking books and meeting rooms for workshops and conferences. Other services include quick reference and research assistance up to grade 10 level, six computers for public use, Internet access and a photocopying machine.
