The City of Windsor’s Environment, Transportation & Public Safety Standing Committee will be looking at eliminating eastbound turns from Howard Avenue onto Irvine Avenue.
City administration says that traffic is often sitting in the turning lane on Howard northbound and often extends beyond Irvine Avenue — making site lines dangerous.
Over the past five years there have been eight accidents: three with injuries and five resulting in property damage.
If this is passed, it will cost about $500 to place new signage up indicating turns are restricted.
