Environment Canada has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Windsor-Essex as of 12:32pm:
Heavy downpours possible this afternoon This is an alert to the potential development of severe thunderstorms with large hail, damaging winds or heavy rainfall..Monitor weather conditions and listen for updated bulletins. A slow moving cold front is producing showers and thunderstorms over a large swath of Southern Ontario. The airmass is quite unstable and a number of the more intense thunderstorms are capable of producing heavy downpours with rainfall amounts of 50 mm in one hour.
