Local history blog International Metropolis is reporting that a piece of unique local architecture is set to be demolished.
St. Anthony Of Padua Hungarian Catholic church at the corner of Parent and Shepherd streets is in a state of significant disrepair and will be demolished in mid-July after a report found the building to be unsafe.
Windsor has seen a fair number of historic buildings coming to the ground in the past two years including Prince of Wales Public School, Christ the King Church, the Seagrave Fire Truck factory, Mother’s Pizza/Jokers’ Nightclub, the historic Bank of Montreal Building at the corner of Walker and Ottawa and the Ford Casting Plant designed by Albert Kahn in the early 20th century.
