Mayfair School opened in January 1928 and served those on Chandler Road in East Windsor until 1971 when it closed, and now former students are looking to create a memorial where the school building once stood.
Every two years, the school alumni hold a reunion with the aim to keep the spirit of their former school alive. During theses reunions they have raised funds for a memorial stone to be placed in the park which sits where the school once stood.
The memorial will be a three to four feet tall stone with a plaque that will be inscribed with “Mayfair School, 1928 – 1971. In memory of alumni past & present.”
