Town Of Essex Launches New Online Burn Permit Platform

The Town of Essex and Essex Fire and Rescue Services have launched  a new online burn permit platform. The new system, powered by BurnPermits.com, is designed to streamline the process for residents.

Starting January 1st, 2024, residents can begin to request burn permits on the new designated website. The new system offers a range of features, including the ability to view the by-law, apply for a burn permit, and manage existing permits.

“It is important that all residents follow the general provisions for open air fires to reduce the risk of a fire emergency.” said Jason Pillon, Fire Chief. “The online burn permit platform reflects our dedication to providing a more efficient process for obtaining burn permits.”
