The Alzheimer Society of Windsor and Essex County hosted 1926 National Skate Day for Alzheimer’s at Lanspeary Lions Outdoor Rink Saturday afternoon.
This event is one of a series of national skating events, in partnership with Steve McNeil who skates for over 19 hours each year in support of his late mother who suffered from Alzheimer’s. Steve’s skate took place in Kingston with many other skates taking place across Canada, honouring now not only his mother but all families in Canada battling with Alzheimer’s and Dementia to raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer Societies across Canada.
