The Salvation Army Windsor Centre of Hope will be launching its weekly community meal program on Thursday, June 2nd, 2022 in downtown Windsor.
The Community Meal Program will be available at the Centre of Hope 355 Church Street between 6pm and 7pm and will be available to all members of the community. This program provides a soup/salad, entrée, dessert and tea or coffee to those in attendance.
“It is unfortunate people in our region struggle with food insecurity and have difficulty feeding themselves and their families. The weekly community meal becomes another necessary resource in our area people can avail of”, says Major Danny Pinksen, Executive Director of The Salvation Army Windsor Centre of Hope. “While we are starting with one community meal per week, we are prepared to expand the meal program according to need and demand. I would like to thank the community for their ongoing support of our community meal program.”
