The new grade school in LaSalle will be getting an addition.
The Ontario Government has announced $4 million in funding to build an additional 167 classroom spaces at Legacy Oak Public School.
The K-8 school opened in September and replaced the current Prince Andrew Public School and has 473 new elementary student spaces, but it is already over capacity with portables on the property.
It is located near the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex.
