At the core of every successful worksite is a happy, comfortable, and efficient crew. Proper sanitation is an essential part of that.

So, what does it take to add “John” to your team? Here are some frequently asked questions regarding renting a clean and well-maintained portable toilet.

  1. How many portable toilets does the worksite require?

Every worksite is different. However, we’ve learned it’s best to provide one unit to every ten workers. So, if you have 60 workers, you should have six units.

  1. How soon can the portable toilet be delivered?

Construction units are typically delivered within a day or two of ordering for local job sites. Out-of-town sites may take a bit longer, so it is always best to order your portable toilet as soon as you know about the upcoming job.

  1. How do you keep portable toilets warm during colder months?

The exterior of the portable toilet is covered with a thermal “coat” and includes a space heater inside. The heater must be plugged in 24/7. Typically, the thermal covers are used on the flush/sink units to prevent the tanks from cracking during colder months.

Note: Thermal covers are only used on worksites with hydro access as the heater portion must remain plugged in the entire time.

  1. How often is the portable toilet serviced?

Portable toilets rented monthly are serviced once per week. Service includes waste removal, wipe down of unit, and replenishing supplies such as hand sanitizer, soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.

From Windsor to Chatham-Kent!

Festival has been supplying Chatham-Kent with their event rental needs for years now, but we’re proud to add portable toilets to the list. Purchasing M&M Porta-Johns has expanded our business to the Chatham-Kent area with an additional 220 toilets and two trucks.

Residents of Southwestern Ontario should expect to see more of Festival in the future because when you gotta go… you gotta go!
