Lakeshore Holding Special Council Meeting On Local Flooding

Lakeshore will host a Special Meeting on Tuesday, November 2nd to share information about the Municipality’s flooding response efforts as well as hear from community members and property owners who have been affected by local flooding.
The virtual meeting, starts at 6pm and will be streamed at Lakeshore.ca/TV, will include a brief presentation about the July 16th significant rainfall event and progress on the recently adopted Flood Mitigation and Protection Framework, as well as a summary of programs and services available to help residents protect their properties and mitigate the impact of flooding.
After the presentation, community members will be invited to share their feedback on past flooding events and the Municipality’s response. Anyone interested in presenting as a delegation must register for the virtual meeting online or by phone at 519-728-2488 ext 657, by 4:30pm on Monday, November 1st.
