19 New Cases Of COVID-19 In Windsor Essex As Of Sunday

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit has announced 19 new cases of COVID-19 as of Sunday, bringing the local total to 3,086. They say 2,818 people locally have recovered.
Cases increased from 3,067 on Saturday November 14th to 3,086 on Sunday November 15th and 192 cases of COVID-19 are currently active in Windsor-Essex.
The Health Unit says 3 cases are agri-farm workers, 2 cases are residents of a long-term care home, 1 case is a local healthcare worker, 1 case is travel related to Michigan, 3 cases are close contacts of confirmed cases, and 9 cases are still under investigation.
There have been no additional deaths due to COVID-19 as of Sunday and the local death toll stands at 76.
As of Sunday, the Health Unit lists 2 people as hospitalized, and 2 people in the ICU with confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Windsor Essex. However 5 hospitalization are listed at Windsor Regional Hospital.
Long-term Care / Retirement Home Outbreaks
As of Sunday there are four outbreaks:
- Berkshire Care Center (Windsor) has 1 staff case
- Riverside Place (Windsor) has 2 staff cases
- Lifetimes on Riverside (Windsor) has 4 resident cases and 4 staff cases
- Iller Lodge (Essex) has 17 resident cases and 1 staff case (an increase of 2 resident cases today)
Workplace Outbreaks
As of Sunday there is one workplace outbreak at an agri-farm in Leamington.
