Mystery Box Owner Found

OPP has found the owner of a mystery box.
Police say that on October 24th, 2020, they came into possession of an item believed to be stolen property.
On Friday, November 6th, they asked the public to help solve the mystery and issued a description and photo.
A few days later, on November 8th, 2020, police received a call from the tote box owner.
The owner saw the story in the media and immediately recognized it and that it was stolen approximately two weeks ago in the City of Windsor.
She correctly identified the items inside, which is a portion of her large collection of costume jewelry.
On Wednesday afternoon OPP returned the box to the owner Carol Briese. She told police that it is a large collection of what was believed to be costume jewelry majority of the items had once belonged to her mother.
