A Leamington McDonald’s employee has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the company, they found out on Monday, June 8th, that the employee from 214 Talbot Street had tested positive.
“Out of an abundance of caution, McDonald’s Canada made the decision to immediately shut down the restaurant for a thorough cleaning and sanitation by a certified third party. We are working to ensure our timeline to reopen happens as quickly and safely as possible, as we know our guests depend on their local McDonald’s, and we are committed to doing our part to help our communities,” the statement read.
All crew members who may have been in close contact with the employee have been asked to self-quarantine until further information is available. The employee worked their last shift on June 3rd from 4pm to 7pm.
“We continue to work with the local health authorities to support our people and our guests, and look forward to getting back to serving our community as soon as we can,” the statement concluded.
