11 New Cases Of COVID-19 In Windsor Essex As Of Tuesday

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit has confirmed 11 additional cases of COVID-19 as of Tuesday, bringing the local total to 794. They said 453 people locally have recovered.
Cases increased from 783 on Monday May 18th to 794 on Tuesday May 19th.
The Health Unit says there have been no additional deaths due to COVID-19 as of Tuesday and the local death toll stands at 63.
They say there are ongoing outbreaks at 17 long-term care and retirement homes:
- Chartwell Kingsville Retirement Residence
- Berkshire Care Centre
- Village at St. Clair
- Extendicare Southwood Lakes
- Extendicare Tecumseh (St. Alphonse)
- Franklin Gardens
- Sun Parlour
- Lifetimes on Riverside
- AMICA
- Country Village Homes
- Heron Terrace LTC
- Riverside Place
- Chartwell Oak Park Terrace Retirement Residence
- Leamington Mennonite Home
- Dolce Vita Retirement Living
- Regency Park Nursing Home
- Banwell Gardens Care Centre.
The Health Unit’s data shows a total of 190 residents and 99 staff of local long-term care and retirement homes under outbreak have COVID-19 as of Tuesday, with no increases in cases today.
The Health Unit says 14,180 total tests have been conducted since testing began locally and 922 tests are pending as of Tuesday.
