There is a flood warning in Leamington.
The area currently most impacted is the section of road between Sturgeon Creek Bridge and Point Pelee National Park.
Elevated lake levels and strong sustained winds around 40 km/hr with frequent strong gusts has seen the Lake Erie shoreline being impacted by significant wave activity. There is currently a significant amount of splashing and spray with many breakwalls being overtopped.
The splashing and spray and wave overtopping has flooded portions of Point Pelee Drive and the road has been closed.
