Windsor Police are investigating a number of Break and Enter occurrences that have taken place in the Walkerville area over the last month.
Since May 22nd Windsor police have received complaints of thirteen break and enters in this area of the city.
Police say that the common thread of these offences is that they have all taken place during the late night or early morning hours and in all cases, the suspect(s) have cut or removed screens on ground floor level windows and entered the homes through the unlocked windows.
Electronic items such as laptop computers, IPODS and cash from purses or wallets have all been taken from these homes. During most of the break and enters, the homeowners have been sleeping and have not heard the suspect(s) enter the home.
Windsor Police are reminding the public to secure any ground level windows prior to retiring for the night.
Anyone with any information regarding these crimes is asked to call Windsor Police Investigations at 519-255-6700 ext 4873 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 519-258- TIPS (8477).
