The Public School Board is set to pick a new name for W.F Herman Secondary School.
In the fall, the school will be amalgamating with Percy P. McCallum Public School to create a K to 12 school, as per school board policy a new name for the school must be chosen.
Input for the name was received from both school communities and the general public.
The committee met three times and came up with five suggestions for board trustees to pick from.
Those are:
- Herman Academy
- W.F. Herman Academy
- Herman-McCallum Academy
- The Griffin Academy with both a Herman campus and a McCallum campus
- Herman Renaissance Academy
The board meets Tuesday evening.
