Downtown dining establishment, Chanoso’s Restaurant is giving back this holiday season by providing a hot meal and hope to Windsor’s homeless community and low-income families.
The annual Christmas Day Dinner for those in need takes place on December 25th between 12pm and 3pm at 255 Ouellette Avenue, and includes a traditional turkey dinner with all the fixings.
“It’s important to give back to the community and especially so during the holidays. Chanoso’s is proud to be an integral part of this event that gives food and friendship to those less fortunate and more vulnerable than ourselves,” says Chanoso’s co-owner, Seth Perera.
Organizers are seeking monetary donations to offset the cost of food and supplies, and are also looking for volunteers to set up, cook, serve, clean and offer fellowship this special day.
Monetary donations can be dropped off at Chanoso’s during office hours. Those interested in volunteering can contact Scott at 519-254-8530.
