A tentative settlement has been reached on central terms of a provincial collective agreement with the Canadian Union of Public Employees, which represents secretarial and clerical employees at area public schools and at the administrative offices as well as school support technicians in the IT department.
The terms are confidential until ratified by all parties involved.
CUPE has agreed to lift all current job sanctions while awaiting the vote of their members on the deal.
