This years Huntington’s Indy Go-Kart Challenge was a record setting one as over 100 local residents got together at Zap Zone Fun Centre to race for a cure for Huntington Disease raising $16,300. The money will be used to assist families coping with the devastating effects of Huntington disease.

“Special thanks this year goes to track sponsor Policella Farms with their very generous donation which put us over the top” said Tracey Wickett, Essex County Chapter volunteer. “We also can’t forget our many other sponsors such as Tim Horton’s who provides coffee and timbits for our racers” Tracey continues. “This event is so important to those affected by Huntington’s Disease. It’s a great way for friends and family to get together and show their support all while having a ton of fun. I think you can see by the smiles that no matter how much raised, today was a success. Any money we collect goes toward research into treatments and hopefully, at some point, a cure for this rotten disease. Also, a portion of the funds helps local families by providing professional services for those struggling with impact of Huntington Disease on their lives.”
