Over the summer months the campus of the University of Windsor underwent some major transformations.
Sunset Avenue underwent a major transformation going from automobiles to pedestrian traffic. Work included a new sidewalk in the middle, new seating areas, new trees, more grass, and improved landscaping.
Several old houses on Sunset were also removed.
Work is still ongoing between Lambton Tower and Wyandotte Street West and expected to be complete by the end of October.
The new welcome centre located on the corner of Wyandotte and Patricia also opened its doors. The building houses offices of alumni and student recruitment, the campus campaign office and public affairs and communications.
In the middle of campus, old sidewalks were replaced in front of Dillon Hall and the Leddy Library fixing area that were prone to flooding.
