Influenza Outbreak Issued At Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has now declared Hôtel Dieu Grace Healthcare in an Influenza Outbreak on 2 South and 3 North of the Emara Building.
Hôtel-Dieu says that it is important to know that currently they only have one confirmed case of Influenza A and that patient has been removed from isolation and is recovering. However they have had an increase in the number of suspected cases from 5 to 10.
Hôtel-Dieu Grace is requesting that if you have a cold or flu-like symptoms such as fever, runny nose, cough or muscle aches, that you do not visit the hospital until all of your symptoms are gone.
Children under the age of 14 years are no longer able to attend the affected areas at 2 South and 3 North of the Emara Building.
They are strongly discouraging all others from visiting however if family or friends are visiting 2 South or 3 North, you will be required to wear a surgical mask while on the unit. There are no new admissions being taken for 2 South or 3 North.
