Lakeside Beach is officially closed due to high E.coli levels.
Due to possible health risks, swimming is not recommended at Cedar Island, Colchester, Sandpoint, Seacliff, and West Belle River beaches.
All other beaches are safe.
Water samples to test for E.coli are taken every Wednesday. The samples are sent to a public health lab in London. Testing is done Thursday and the results are given to the Health Unit by Friday.
