Members of the Windsor University Faculty Association are planning a silent protest for this Thursday.

The protest will line Wyandotte from California to the bridge starting at 8:20am and lasting until 10am.

The aim is to put pressure on administration to get back to the bargaining table.

Last Thursday, members voted 81.4% to take strike action if needed. The union says that the “strike vote also enables WUFA to entertain a variety of responses to the employer — picketing of campus construction sites, work-to-rule, a work slowdown, withdrawal of selected duties — short of an all-out withdrawal of labour.”
