Security ONE Alarms recently achieved the “Five Diamond Certification” from the Central Station Alarm Association.
In order to achieve “Five Diamond Certification” status, each and every operator in the Central Station must have not only passed the courses, but demonstrated proficiency in alarm verification, which helps reduce false alarms, proficiency in communications with the Public Service answering points, such as Emergency 911 centres, and have knowledge of electronic communications equipment including radio.
They also must have an understanding of the codes and standards of such organizations as Underwriters laboratories, Factory Mutual and the National Fire Protection Association and others and have proficiency in the area of emergency preparedness under a wide scenario of possibilities.
Director of Marketing, Corey Robertson, says there is more to winning the prestigious award. “5 Diamond companies must also have demonstrated an exceptionally high degree of responsibility to their local community and their customers through the investment of time, money and commitment to 100% quality operator training. We are very proud of our staff, as this award reflects a total team effort.”
Robertson also noted that fewer than 50 central stations have achieved “Five Diamond Certification” status.
