Expect More Police Around The Riverfront Festival Plaza

Windsor Police say you can expect an increased police presence in and around the Riverfront Festival Plaza.

This comes in response to growing complaints about excessive noise and criminal activity. The Problem-Oriented Policing Unit and City Centre Patrol will take a “strict but fair enforcement approach to ensure public safety and keep the peace,” a release from the police said.

Police are also issuing a reminder that the Festival Plaza and all municipal parks are closed between midnight and 5:00am per the City of Windsor by-law 200-2002.
