An addition is coming to Northwood Public School.

The addition will contain eight new classrooms plus ancillary spaces such as washrooms, a custodial area, an office and a storage room.

It will be situated on the northeast portion of the existing school building. No additional parking or site work is required as there are sufficient parking spaces to meet building code requirements.

After the construction of the addition, it is anticipated all portables can be removed from the site.

The approved Ministry allocation for the school addition is $4,854,477, and it is expected to be open in January 2025.
