PHOTOS: Take A Look Inside Bright Lights Windsor 2022

Friday December 2nd, 2022, 7:39pm

Hello time traveller!!

The information listed below is likely outdated and has been preserved for archival purposes.

Hundreds of people came out to Jackson Park, Friday evening, for the lighting of the fifth annual Bright Lights Windsor.

The City of Windsor’s unique display features a giant illuminated tree in the Queen Elizabeth II Sunken Gardens, thousands of lights, and a Holiday Market.

Interested in checking out the displays? Here’s everything you need to know:

This year’s theme is “Take It All In,” and the path this year takes you through a series of exciting zones:

  • Wish Upon a Star
  • Winter Wonderland
  • the new Royal Promenade in honour of Her Majesty, the late Queen Elizabeth II
  • Santa’s Workshop
  • Peace & Love Around the World
  • W.E. the North
  • Children’s Enchanted Village, where kids can write letters to Santa from the comfort of our inflatable igloo, or ride the Holiday Train and enjoy our new scavenger hunt, sponsored by Libro Credit Union. Opportunities to be wowed at every turn and excellent settings for the perfect picture – including some fun new selfie stations – will be abundant.

The park will be lit every night from 5:30pm to 10:00pm.

Sensory friendly “Silent Nights” are offered on Tuesday evenings. The lights will be on, but sound will be muted and strobe elements paused so the display can be enjoyed in a peaceful environment that is accommodating to sensory sensitivities.
