The Town of Tecumseh’s Community & Recreation Services is losing out summer with two final events on August 26th and September 3rd.
“It is the perfect way to round out an eventful summer,” said Mayor Gary McNamara. “These family friendly events are a great way to support our local community, small businesses and enjoy the last days of summer!”
On Friday, August 26th, join The Town of Tecumseh for Tecumseh Twilight, a night full of food trucks, exotic cars, and a movie under the stars! The event will kick off at 6:30pm and the feature film, Shrek, will start approximately at 8:30pm at McAuliffe Park. Food options include 3 Dog Poutinerie, Delizioso Italiano, Slinky’s, Soda Pop Bros, The Chilled Cork, Twiggs and What’s Poppin.
On Saturday, September 3rd, close out a fabulous summer with an end of Summer Bonfire, Marshmallow Roast with local artist Max Marshall playing some tunes in the WFCU Square and ending the night with a Fireworks display at Lakewood Park. A free bike valet is available and active transportation is encouraged.
Everyone is welcome to attend these free events. Be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket for the fireworks.
