The tennis and pickle ball courts are ready to use in Forest Glade.

Improvements included a complete removal of the aging courts and fencing, and transformed the area into a modern tennis and pickleball facility. Six new tennis courts and ten new pickleball courts, all with specialized surfacing and colour coating, are surrounded by new fencing that includes wind and noise blocking mesh. All sixteen courts are lit and are open for play until 11pm. Three new walls have also been constructed with access from all six tennis courts for solo or practice play.

A new meeting and resting area has been created just north of the courts along with benches and picnic tables. In addition, drainage improvements have been made to ensure the courts shed water as quickly as possible.

The final touches will be grass seeding and watering of the surrounding area over the next month to ensure full coverage of grass. Several new trees will be planted this fall.

Total cost was $850,000.

Play is on a first come, first served basis and free for all to use. Inline skating, skate boarding and road hockey are prohibited on the new tennis and pickleball surfaces.
