The popular Tug Across the River is returning as part of the Can-Am Police-Fire Games.
The Tug Across the River competition between the Windsor and Detroit Fire Departments will see 30 competitors on each side race to pull buoys at the end of a 1500-metre rope from the middle of the river to their respective country.
This event has traditionally been part of the International Freedom Festival and was last won by Detroit.
It takes place on Saturday, July 30th, 2022, at 4pm in Dieppe Gardens.
