Leamington has transitioned its Council meetings to a hybrid mix of in-person attendees and remote meeting participants.
The hybrid format includes members of Council and select municipal employees being present in the Council Chambers and all other participants including the public, presenters and additional staff participating in the meeting virtually.
“The hybrid meeting format makes public meetings more accessible to a larger audience of residents and stakeholders,” said Mayor Hilda MacDonald. “Our first hybrid meeting was a success and I’d like to thank our Information Technology and Legislative Services departments for making this seamless transition possible.”
The Municipality has also made enhancements to its audio and visual meeting equipment and has reconfigured the Council Chambers to ensure all participants have a seamless meeting experience.
