New Beer Competition Comes To Windsor

Local brewers will face off this weekend in a friendly competition to be named Master of the Brewniverse.

Masters of the Brewniverse is a celebration and friendly competition of one-off beers exclusive to the event, allowing breweries to showcase their creativity and win bragging rights. 

There will be two awards handed out: People’s Choice (decided by a vote by festival-goers) and Master of the Brewniverse (decided by a panel of judges).

Breweries include

• GL Heritage Brewing Co.,
• The Grove Brewing Company,
• Walkerville Brewery
• Chapter Two Brewing
• Banded Goose Brewing
• Top Dog Brewing Co.
• Craft Heads Brewing Company
• The Beerded Dog/Jakes Brew Windsor

“This event will be a great opportunity for the brewers to jump back on their pilot systems and experiment with new recipes,” says Dwayne Grondin, co-owner and brewer at GL Heritage. “It creates a feeling of excitement and anticipation of new beers for all of our followers. Having all the local breweries participate in this event only grows our region’s reputation of a solid craft beer destination.”

It will take place on Saturday, June 11th, 2022, at WindsorEats’ new space at 400 Erie Street East, Suite 3.

There will be two sessions throughout the day. Session One will take place from 12:00pm to 4pm and Session Two will run from 6pm to 10pm. The winners will be announced at Session Two.

Session One tickets are $47, and Session Two tickets are $50. Each ticket includes 16 samples (5oz. each). That’s 80oz of beer for an event themed after an 80’s cartoon.
