The Windsor International Film Festival is bringing another set of screenings to Downtown Windsor in June. This edition of WIFF Presents… will bring two international feature films and two documentaries to the Capitol Theatre.

“We just wrapped up some very well-received films last weekend and have lots of momentum as we bring these four films to our community in June,” said Vincent Georgie, WIFF Executive Director and Chief Programmer. “For June, we’ve got the Opening Night film from Hot Docs’ most recent festival, a charming French comedy, a memorable trip to the heart of Mali’s music and political scene, as well as one of the best jazz docs I’ve seen in years. “

The screenings will take place in the Capitol’s Kelly Theatre from Thursday, June 9th to Saturday, June 11th and will feature Jazz Fest: A New Orleans Story, Into The Weeds: Dewayne “Lee” Johnson vs Monsanto Company, Mali Twist, and The Rosemaker.

The weekend of screenings will follow the Capitol Theatre’s COVID-19 safety protocols, which require all patrons aged 12 and over to provide proof of two vaccination doses, a mask worn at all times inside the building, and a 50 percent reduction in capacity. The concessions will be closed, and washrooms will be open at a reduced capacity.

Tickets are $16 for general admission and $10.25 for students and are on sale now. Tickets can be purchased by visiting windsorfilmfestival.com and at the door 30-minutes before the first showing.
