The Windsor Parade Corporation Plans Events To Kick-Off Summer

The Windsor Parade Corporation is set to host two events to kick off the summer season after two years of pandemic limitations.

The Windsor Riverfront Fireworks Party takes place on June 27th, 2022. Along with the best view, there will be dinner and an entertainment lineup complete with live on-air broadcast and podcasts to share. Tickets are available through the website at www.windsorparade.org.

They also have a variety of events planned for Canada Day. The parade will run west on Wyandotte from Devonshire to Alymer and kicks off at 11am. New for this year will be family fun zones on the parade route with lots of activities for the whole family and Canada Day cupcakes along the entire route at participating retail outlets. The International Tug boat race is sidelined for this year. However, organizers are hopeful to see this spectacular event again in 2023.

In addition, World’s Finest Shows Midways will be providing the traditional carnival at the Festival Plaza independent of The Windsor Parade Corporation and the “Summer Fest” brand.
