Kingsville Hires Economic Development And Tourism Officer

The Town of Kingsville has hired its first Economic Development and Tourism Officer. Sue Rice will assume the role on Tuesday, May 24th, 2022.
Rice is a business owner of a marketing firm which assists businesses with innovative marketing, programming, customer relationships, and economic development initiatives. She has successfully delivered results for client businesses located in Kingsville, Pelee Island, Essex County and throughout Ontario.
“It is an honour to be able to work in a place I have called home for many years. I am excited by this opportunity to work closely with the Mayor and CAO on economic development and tourism initiatives,” said Rice.
Rice holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Windsor and has twenty-five years of public relations experience. Her experience includes marketing and sales, customer service and retention, event management and fundraising.
“This is an important position and we are fortunate to have recruited Sue into this role,” said Kingsville’s Chief Administrative Officer, John Norton. “Sue will be helping the Mayor and I commence consultations with business leaders and seek input into how we can help our businesses succeed.”
