Health Unit COVID-19 Cases & Outbreaks Update From The Weekend

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit announced 142 new high risk cases of COVID-19 in Windsor and Essex County from over the weekend. The Health Unit does not report case counts and statistics on weekends but provides a weekend summary. Testing is still limited to high risk individuals only the province estimates actual COVID-19 cases are around 10 times higher than what is being reported.
Total Cases & Active Cases
Total overall cases increased from 38,434 on Friday, March 11th to 38,570 on Monday, March 14th.
There are 194 cases of COVID-19 currently active in Windsor-Essex (decrease of 58 active cases since Friday).
Vaccinations
Here’s the Health Unit’s vaccination update for today (residents of Windsor-Essex).
- 355,866 people have received at least one dose of a vaccine (+56 since Friday)
- 342,410 people have received both doses of a vaccine (+193 since Friday)
- 190,516 people have received a 3rd dose/booster shot of a vaccine (+340 since Friday)
Vaccination Percentages
- 86.2 per cent of Windsor-Essex residents (ages 5+) have received at least one dose of a vaccine (increase of < 0.1 per cent since Friday)
- 83.0 per cent of Windsor-Essex residents (ages 5+) are fully vaccinated (increase of 0.1 per cent since Friday)
- 53.8 per cent of Windsor-Essex residents (ages 18+) have received a 3rd dose/booster (increase of < 0.1 per cent since Friday)
