Town of Essex Council has appointed Jason Matyi to complete the current term as Councillor, Ward 3.

The position of Ward 3 Councillor recently became vacant when Steve Bjorkman was appointed as Deputy Mayor of the Town of Essex. Council then directed the Ward 3 Council Member seat to be filled by appointment using a Call for Application process whereby qualified individuals could apply to represent the residents of Ward 3 by serving on Essex Town Council.

Matyi will be officially sworn in as a Ward 3 Councillor at a Special Council meeting planned for March 14th.
