The Windsor Essex Child/Youth Advocacy Centre will be able to meet increased demand to provide advocacy services to local children and youth who are victims of abuse after a successful fundraising drive.

From November 1st to December 28th, 2021, $5 was donated for every new sign-up on ENWIN’s e-bill program to the centre.  ENWIN’s promotion coincided with the Advocacy Centre’s annual giving campaign where YourNeighbourhood Credit Union matched donations dollar for dollar with a final amount of $5,000.

Between both organizations and the community, $17,548 was donated to WECYAC who provides services to diverse populations of children, youth, and their supporting family members by offering a safe, neutral, and trauma-informed space to disclose their abuse to a specially trained team of professionals. In addition, donations will be used to provide caregivers with a consistent and comprehensive network of support and referral services to reduce trauma and support healing.
