A maidstone man won more than $143,000 playing Pools with the OLG.
Gaetano Pasini of Maidstone got way into the game to win $143,496.80 with Football Pools Card #77, List #1398.
Pasini says he loves to play Pools and ProLine regularly.
“I didn’t watch the game. I just got lucky,” he said.
The self-employed man saw there were four winners the morning after the game. “I looked at my ticket and noticed it added up. I lost my voice from screaming so loud!”
Gaetano told his wife about his big win. “I showed her the winning amount and said, ‘Can you imagine we won that?’ and she thought I was joking!”
He plans to pay some bills and save his winnings.
Pools is a sports game where each $5 wager allows you to pick your sport and card number and select who you think will win each matchup.
The winning ticket was purchased at Petro Canada on Manning Road in Maidstone.
