The Greater Essex County District School Board is reporting COVID-19 cases at six more schools in Windsor-Essex.

The board is reporting one case in a student at A.V. Graham Public School on November 4th, one case in a student at Essex Public School on November 3rd, one case in a student at Herman Academy Secondary School on November 5th, one additional case in a student at M.D. Bennie Public School on November 5th, one additional case in a student at Mount Carmel-Blytheswood Public School on November 2nd, and one case in a staff member at Riverside High School on November 5th.

Greater Essex County District School Board public relations officer Scott Scantlebury has said the board does not release information about the number of cohorts or students affected by the case.

The board sent letters to the A.V. Graham school community, the Essex Public school community, the Herman school community, the M.D. Bennie school community, the Mount Carmel school community, and the Riverside school community.

“We have been working with the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) by providing lists of students and staff who may have been in contact with the individual,” the letters state. “If you have not been contacted, you or your child (ren) have not been identified as close contacts. The WECHU is contacting any individuals (students and staff) who have an identified high-risk exposure with the confirmed case and will give directions to follow.
